About Us
For over 150 years we have been providing a focal point for people from the Italian speaking part of Switzerland who are in United Kingdom and for those people of Swiss-Italian descent, who want to learn more about the region from which their ancestors came as well as for those English people who are simply very fond of Ticino. We are a friendly group of people who hold regular social events and cultural evenings. You are welcome to find out more about us on these pages – and even more welcome if as a result you decide to join!
Da più di 150 anni siamo un punto di riferimento e di incontro per gli Svizzeri italiani che si sono stabiliti a Londra e per i loro discendenti che desiderano conoscere meglio il Paese dal quale sono venuti i loro antenati, ma anche per gli Inglesi che amano e apprezzano il Ticino. At the last Congress of the Swiss in the UK FOSSUK members, @Unione Ticinese - Pro Ticino Londra, Swiss Club Edinburgh and @New Helvetic Society , unanimously voted for the creation of a task force to develop a proposal for the future strategy of FOSSUK so that the organisation better responds to the needs of the Swiss in the UK. This proposal will be reviewed and voted on at the next FOSSUK AGM June 2025.![]()

We are now inviting interested #swissabroad living in the UK to take part in the task force. ![]()

What does it entail? ![]()
👉3 zoom sessions, each lasting 1.5 hours from September to December![]()
👉Collaboratively define the key roles FOSSUK needs to respond to the needs of the Swiss in the UK and Swiss Clubs. ![]()
👉Review whether the current FOSSUK structure and constitution allows it to play these roles![]()
👉Identify areas for improvement, and develop proposals for necessary reforms.![]()
