Premiering at The Cockpit in Marylebone (NW8 8EH) from 30 October to 2 November 2024\, the play brings to life in London a poignant and provocative story of emigration\, courage\, and friendship. \nPicture 1900s London\, on the cusp of war. At a lavish table in Valchera’s restaurant\, two women sit in disheveled wedding gowns. Meet Iride\, an emigrant from the depths of the Swiss Alps with a mysterious past\, and Tina\, a headstrong restaurateur born to Swiss-Italian parents. In the kitchen\, we hear a man pleading from inside a lobster cage. The room is heavy with decisions\, betrayals\, and the looming threat of war.
