I am Linda Scerpella and I come from Giubiasco in Ticino. After studying graphic design in Lugano at CSIA, I had the opportunity to move to London through Lingue e Stage, a programme from Canton Ticino which subsidised experiences abroad for young people, giving them the chance to learn a language while also doing a work placement. What started as a 6 month stay in 2013, turned into a university degree and over a decade of life in London.

I have been working as a motion designer for the film and TV industry for the last 7 years, where I bring stories to life through animation.

I discovered the Unione Ticinese in 2022, thanks to the RSI interviews which were part of the Christmas special “Riuniti per Natale”, where I was myself an interviewee. After speaking to Emilie I decided to join and started to attend the events that were organised. I am grateful to have found the Unione Ticinese, where one can feel the warmth of Ticino and its people. Thanks to it I have connected with people who I now consider friends and that are part of my life in London. As of this year, I have also taken on the role of Secretary for the Unione Ticinese.
