The official proceedings will feature a transition in the UT Committee, as I will be stepping down as president and Peter Barber will be departing from his role as secretary. We encourage you to come in person to take this exciting opportunity to meet the new officers and committee members while receiving the latest updates.
As part of our evening program, we are pleased to welcome Hildegard E. Keller, who will present an engaging talk on Alfonsina Storni. A Ticinese emigrant to Argentina, Storni emerged as one of the leading voices in modernist Latin American literature. Her life and work inspired, amongst other things, the renowned song “Alfonsina y el Mar,” beautifully interpreted by Catalan singer Rosalía in this video.
We hope you’ll be able to then join us for an “aperitivo” and “maccheronata”. If you are keen to lend a hand on the evening, please contact Karin to find out about volunteering opportunities. More details in the booking form.
